Miss Megan
Hi, my name is Miss Megan! I am a 19-year-old first-year student at MacEwan University. I am enrolled in Early Childhood Curriculum Studies and plan to continue at UofA to get my Bachelor of Education. I was born in Edmonton; however, I moved to Cochrane in grade 2 and spent my childhood there. In August, I moved here and now live outside Morinville with my family. I have been dancing since I was 3 years old and have never been able to stop. Dance has always been an outlet for me and has shaped me into who I am today. I would not be the same without dance, as it taught me many life skills. I have trained in all dance styles and completed my intermediate RAD ballet exam. About 3 years ago, I pursued hip-hop only and ended my tech days. Since then, I have traveled across Alberta, Vancouver, San Fransico, and California. I have competed in these places and been surrounded by the competitive dance community since I started. I also worked as a dance crew member for the Calgary Surge basketball team in May last year. During that time, I had the opportunity to dance in the Calgary Saddledome and perform in front of 13,000 people. I have performed self-choreography duets, taught my own drop-ins, and been an assistant teacher since I was 12. I decided to teach dance because I want to provide the same love I found in this community. All children should experience dance and can do anything they put their minds to.
